Unicus Architecture and Design is a young architecture firm born from the idea that each project should reflect the uniqueness of our clients needs and wants.

Jonathan A. Terrero, AIA, NCARB

Principal and Founder

Jonathan has over 10 years of experience in retail, commercial, educational, residential, and mixed use design. His experience in the industry began when he was working for a large retailer at the Store Planning Department. His responsibilities included designing store layouts, store fixtures and furniture, as well as supervising the field construction of new and remodeled stores.

While pursing his architectural degree, Jonathan participated in the 2013 Chinese Solar Decathlon with Team NJHA, where he acted as Project Manager during the construction phase of the competition. This was a unique experience where he was exposed to the design and construction of an energy efficient house that relied exclusively on solar energy power. After receiving his B.A. at NJIT in 2013, Jonathan moved on to work with various architectural firms in the NY and NJ areas, while honing his skills in design, detailed construction drawing preparation and construction administration.

Jonathan is a resident of Lincoln Park, NJ with his wife and two children. He also serves as a member of the Lincoln Park Planning Board.

Jonathan enjoys travelling, playing tennis/racquetball and has recently become an amateur BBQ Pitmaster to the pleasure of all who have sampled his culinary delights.
